Global Sport Summit

I went to the Economist's Global Sport Summit on Friday at the Landmark hotel. It was a swanky affair stuffed full of the great and good of world sport thinkers and decision-makers. I sat a table along from one of my boyhood heroes, Dan Marino! Who was chatting away with Johnny Wilkonson (actually bnoth of them were yawning quite a lot). Later in the day they would talk about the player's perspective. Kenyon, Coe, Stanford and lot of the other top guys in sport discussed global strategy. There were some interesting panel discussions and the theme of the day seemed to be about how the recession should be seen as an opportunity rather than a disaster.
